FAQ's

What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is a custom fit, clasp-less bracelet, necklace or anklet that is welded together creating a seamless piece of jewelry.

Does the process hurt?

Not at all! There is a small spark that occurs as your jewelry is welded together which takes less than a second and the spark never makes contact with your skin.

Who can get permanent jewelry?

Adults 18 and over. All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and/or have a signed release by a parent/guardian. We have a direct link to our waiver on our website and on-site. Once signed, you will receive a copy of the signed waiver via email.

What types of metals will I be able to choose from?

We offer 14K gold filled and sterling silver chains.

What if my jewelry breaks?

Hopefully not, but we understand life happens. Your jewelry may get caught on something, or if pulled too hard, it may break. Contact us and we can arrange a time to weld it back together.

What if I need to remove my jewelry?

If you decide you no longer want to commit to a permanent piece of jewelry, need an MRI or any other reason, all you have to do is take scissors and cut where your jewelry was welded. Save your jewelry in a safe place and contact us if you would like it welded back on. We can also add a clasp for a small fee. "Permanent" jewelry is only as permanent as you want it to be.

How do I care for my new jewelry?

All precious metals lose their shine and color over time from everyday wear which completely normal. We recommend you use a mild soap and soft bristle brush to clean your pieces and polish with the jewelry cloth provided. We also recommend you avoid frequent direct contact with perfumes, lotions, sunscreen or any harsh chemicals.  With proper care, your pieces will stay looking shiny and new. We provide you with care instructions at the time of your session and you can always find jewelry care information on our website and on our Instagram: @milliejayhandmade
